HANNA HOUSE BREAKFAST MENU

The Hanna House Bed & Gourmet Breakfast in New Bern, NC takes tremendous pride in our unique and savory entrees. Treat your taste buds to one of our mouthwatering breakfast dishes that will leave you wanting to come back for more! Guests who enjoy a traditional breakfast will enjoy made to order omelets, waffles and our special pancakes. For those who want a different breakfast experience our Eggs en Croute and Crème Broule French toast may be just the ticket. Shrimp and Grits for breakfast? For a true taste of the south you can’t beat this. Each evening guests get to choose from a list of more than a dozen options for their main course at breakfast.

Accompanying the main course is fresh squeezed juices, fruit and a hearty mug of coffee roasted especially for Hanna House by Eastern Shore Roasters. We take pride in offering a multitude of black, green, herbal and other Stash teas.

Eggs Benedict

Stuffed French Toast - Gourmet Bed & Breakfast New Bern NC

Stuffed French Toast                                                  


Omelets: 3 large eggs stuffed with your choice of: cheddar cheese, gouda cheese, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, broccoli, scallion, ham, bacon or sausage.

Frittata: a baked omelet with sauted eggplant, mushrooms and scallion, the egg is infused with cheddar and parmesan cheeses, topped with a spoon full of basil pesto.

Frittata: a baked omelet with sauted green and yellow zucchini, a touch of scallion. The egg is infused with gouda cheese and topped with mushrooms.

Shrimp and Grits: a milder version of the dinner entrée, shrimp, marinated in hot pepper sauce and lemon, served in a bacon, onion, pepper and garlic sauce, over cheesey grits.

Eggplant Frittata

Eggs en Croute: two eggs baked in a puff pastry shell, sprinkled with fresh garden herbs and topped with a sweet red pepper sauce.

Eggs Benedict: two poached eggs, settled on a piece of sauted ham, nestled on a split and toasted English muffin, topped with a Hollandaise sauce.

Eggs Florentine: same as eggs benedict, but remove the meat and replace with sauted spinach.

Dutch Baby Pancake: a souffled pancake baked and stuffed with carmelized apples.

Pancakes: our overnight cakes have three grains. Served with or without local blueberries.

Zucchini Frittata

Stuffed French Toast: French bread stuffed with cream cheese, toasted pecans, dried Michigan cherries and lemon zest.

Stuffed French Toast: French twist bread soaked in a crème brule sauce, stuffed with carmelized apples and topped with a crème anglais.

Croque Madam: pullman white bread soaked in a béchamel mournay sauce, layed with ham and covered with melted Monterey Jack and Gouda Cheeses and topped with a sunnyside up egg.

Charleston Cheese Pudding: a Cheddar Cheese soufflé.

For those entrees that do not already include a meat, guests may select from thick sliced bacon, sausage patties or ham.
