New Bern is a beautiful and historic community that the Hanna House Bed & Breakfast is happy to call home. We’ve spoken before about many of the local attractions that make a weekend in our luxurious suites a memorable getaway for everyone. Throughout the summer, this friendly and inviting town is the setting for a great number of festivals and events of all kind.
For example, hundreds of local residents and visitors came out to the renowned Atlantic coastline of our town to take in musical acts of all kinds. As this article published by WNCT.com reports, the recent Bern Summer Blast music festival looks like it was another successful one.
Hundreds of people may not make for the largest music festival crowd you’ve ever seen. However, in our tourist community this makes for a pretty sizable event and one that is fun for the whole family, which is not something that can be said for many of the larger concert tours crossing the nation.
Many of the musical acts may not have been huge names, but local favorites Spare Change and The Tams were on hand to perform, as well as recent American Idol contestant Emily Minor. The performers took the stage that was set up in New Bern’s pristine Union Point Park, located in the downtown section of the area. Admission this year was only $20 for adults, and the evening included food trucks, bounce houses for children and many other amenities.
We’re always taken aback by the amount of activities there are to enjoy in such a historic community as ours is. Come visit the Hanna House Bed & Breakfast over an entire weekend so you can see everything our town has to offer you. From live performances to miles and miles of Atlantic Ocean coastline, there’s plenty to see within miles of our cozy and restive suites.
